The longest recorded reptile in the world IS the reticulated python (Phython reticulatus), the record length is 10m (32ft 9.5 in) for a specimen shot in Celebes, Indonesia in 1912. The saltwater croc. (Crocodylus porosus) has several unauthenticated reports of specimens up to 33ft in length. The largest lizard IS the Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) recorded at being 10ft 2in long and weighed 166Kg (365lb).
