Before trying to find out the reason why there are more large atrox than there are large adamanteus, you’ve got to first eliminate the possibility that atrox isn’t the larger of the two species to start with! Once you’ve done that, then, and only then, can you start down the list of all the other possible reasons you’ve mentioned like highway mortality rates, etc. This seems pretty basic to me, and apparently it does to Byron too. I think that’s what he has been saying over and over again about methodology, but it just doesn’t seem to be registering. Am I missing something here?
