Mine never tamed down. I would catch them and keep them and had some for quite a while. Now I just kinda toss em down any sewer I see or give them to one of my ribbon snakes. I am not a big fan on introduced animals lol. I guess you could keep it but mine always were fairly squeamish and didn't like to sit still. Andy
