Little lizard that's been bugging me

I was in South Carolina a few years ago and caught a lizard about 6 inches long. It had a somewhat blunt head, and a chunky body. Its dorsal color was a drab brown but it had a very deep blue stripe starting at the "armpits" and going about halfway down the belly. If I remember right the rest of the belly was an off-white color. I only had it about 5 or 10 minutes, and let it go again. I've been looking on and off for pics of a lizard like it, but no luck yet. If anyone knows what it was (or could be) I'd appreciate it if you'd email me-I'm not on the lizard forums much, usually some of the python forums.
Thanks
