A picture would certainly help. Meanwhile, set him up in a 5 or 10 gallon aquarium with a screen top. You can use ESU Jungle Mix lizard litter or something similar as a substrate. Put in a small live potted plant or some nice silk vines and a climbing branch. For the long term, he'll need a good UVB (ultra violet B) fluorescent bulb and fixture, calcium powder to shake his tiny crickets in (like shake and bake--add a bit to the bag the crickets come in and shake) every third feeding, and a plant mister. Anoles drink their water off of leaves and the sides of the tank as drops. When he gets bigger, he will also enjoy mealworms.
For now, he will benefit from 2 week old crickets and wingless fruit flies (available through the mail).
