I would not be too trusting of the fish from the aforementioned places either. But pulling them out of a Brownsville resaca doesn't seem like it's not risky business either. You could go to HEB and get some fresh Catfish nuggets or something. What happened to your Guppy breeding?
My Ali's enjoy staple diets from brands like Reptomin and Fluker's (which is a messy food by the way). I also give them Crickets, Nightcrawlers (they love those), wax worms, mealies. There are many options.
How is it going with that Hovabator I lent you? Anything in it yet???
