:::At your age, the first thing you need is the permission of your parents. Before they grant that, they ought to be up to speed on what the legal requirements in your area are, what the husbandry requirements are, and what the snake is capable of doing to you or anyone else who has an accident with the snake.
:They also need to be certain that antivenin is available locally, & if not, see to it that you own your own BEFORE you acquire the snake. I say you need their permission & input because you are still their legal responsibility. I do not recommend that anyone who is not of an age that they can enter into a contract legally own a venomous snake.

My father and I have double checked all local laws & requirements to own poisonous reptiles & there is a hospital containing the required antivenin less then two miles from my house. I understand that I should know more about venemous reptiles & be more expirienced with them. That is why I posted this string, I wish to know all I can & hopefully even find an expirienced herper in my area who can teach me more. I don't want to upset any one though and opinions from other members of the forum would be appreciated.
