The faster you powerfeed a rattlesnake like yours, the quicker you're going to bring about its death. Allowing the snake to grow at a more natural rate (which would be a lot slower than its growing for you) will allow it to live a longer and healthier life - anyone who has kept a lot of rattlesnakes over the years will be likely to tell you the same thing. Getting obese will cause health problems for animals, just as it does for humans. Be patient with your snake, and it will be a much more rewarding captive.
