Almost forgot to mention- I always put the millet in my freezer overnight. It has been said that freezing the seed will destroy any parasites, eggs, or other vermin that might be contained in the seed. I am not 100% certain that this action will destroy all stages of all parasite life cycles, but I do follow the advice as a safety precaution.
