mira's skin gets very hard too but that is usually right before it's going to peel off -- it takes a month or so for her to get to that point -- one suggestion i've heard here that helps is to soak in warm water for awhile (mira will soak for 10 - 15 min but she gets irritated after that) - it will help loosen the skin and make it easier to shed -- hopefully you will get some more extensive advice but i let her soak and then rub her down and it helps soften the skin and loosen it and some of it comes off -- good luck =) molly
