Hi Sara,

most Mali-Uro´s (Uromastyx dispar maliensis) get darker when they become older. And sometimes they get almost completely black.
Take a look at this secimen from deer fern farms.

About the toys... the best touy for a male Uromastyx is... a female Uromastyx of the same species.
And also rocks and pieces of wood to climb on.
