If it's only been 8 days then you have a little time. Are you also soaking and giving him pedialite in addition to the mineral oil? How are you administering the oil? It is best done with a tipless syringe, about .5 cc's daily. It can also be give as an enema, although I did it once before taking him to the vet and it made me uneasy.
I never asked, what do you suspect caused the impaction? Was it the substrate? Keep me posted and I hope he improves, I know how hard it is when they're not well. Right now Travis is looking at me after eating a bunch of stuff and I couldn't be happier. One more thing, do you know of a herp specialist in your area? If not, start looking because it's never a sure thing that you'll be able to cure him at home. Diane
