What should i do with my new gravid mali

I already have a nesting box but the problem is that i have to move some things around to get to it and keep it a little moist so it doesn't become dry. By doing this I am disturbing them. Should I check on the nesting box a few times a day or should I not do anything in the tank for the first week.
