We had some crickets escape into our garden once when cleaning out the tub they were kept in. My wife and I loved laying in bed at night on warm evenings with the window open listening to the crickets.
It made us feel like we were in Turkey on holiday.:¬) ("Aaaaah")
I can understand people complaining about the noise from Machinery, or traffic and aircraft but, the sound of nature can be very theraputic.
My wifes Friend moved into a semi rural house a couple of years ago . Next thing she was winging on about the birds waking her up every morning. I thought, "You spoilt little brat . Some people have no choice and live in high rise flats , or houses on the main road . They're woken up every day to traffic noise , and their flats vibrating as trains trundle past".
Just my opinion :¬)
Orft me soap box now :¬)
