:I live in the north texas area. Recently I have been inundated with geckos. They are living in my attic by day and come out at night and hang out on the outer walls of my house. I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of them without harming them. I have taken a few to the large field behind my house. I checked my neighbors house and have yet to see any on his house at night. I use a flashlight to spot them during the night. I think the species is Stenodactylus Petrii. I am not sure. But according to the pictures I have seen tha is what I am finding. I have also found some during the day but they are darker I guess from the sunlight. Can anyone help me get rid of them safely wihtout harming them. I counted about 20 of them last night. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello<
I'm the DFW area & what we have here is the mediterranean gecko, hemidactylus turcicus. What size are they? You probably have the same thing... I wish I were there to catch them & take them offf your hands!! They are completely harmless & eat small insect about your house, mainly coming out at night to eat the bugs attracted to the lights.
