USAA insurance and snakes

USAA insurance company has turned my family down for renters insurance because we own eight snakes. All non venomous and none that will be over 6 feet. I spoke with the underwriter and even though I tried to explain the harmless nature of our snakes, they refused.

When I questioned them about my indoor/outdoor dog, they had no concern.

They said that snakes are, by their nature, likely to strangle children.

I have attached their URL if anyone would like to give them your opinion on their business practices.

So if you have the choice of using someone else, please do. They were not open to discussing their beliefs. My money will be better spent somewhere else less uninformed.
