Also, a couple of things to be aware of.....
1. Almost all of TP Texas is private land. This means legal herping is restricted to herping along roadsides at night (along rock cuts can be good for some species).
2. Game wardens patrol many of the more popular W TX herping locales. Make sure you have a valid hunting license in your possesion at all times when herping.
3. Make sure you are familiar with the venomous species of herps and other critters which are so prevalent in the area.
