Dallas and surrounding cities are pretty strict about snakes. I contacted animal control for my city and they told me the same thing. How long have you been raising GTPs(just curious). Anyway, pet stores will tell you anything to get you to buy, so I would find someone with a permit and find out how they got it. Where did the city inspecter visit you? Was it your house, or a store and how did they find out?
