: I recently moved to Fort Worth and there are lots of little newt-like critters that come out at night and are on the front of my house. They are probably 2-4 inches long, kind of opaque light beige skin with a touch of pink, the tail seems to be lightly striped.
: The closest river is several miles away. I do not know anything about amphibians. Does anyone know what these are? They have very black eyes that you can almost see through their light skin. Please email me at captainbanzai@webtv.net if you can give me any info. on these critters. Thanks, Rob

They are Mediterranean Geckos. An introduced lizard to many SE US states from Southern Europe. They are cool little guys and will clean up alot of unwanted insects.
Later, KW.
