recently something strange has started to appear in my 2 RES's tank....it started about 3 nights ago, i cleaned the tank and 2 hours later the water was really foggy white and there were pieces of a white-rubbery like substance, very thin...i immediatly changed the water and cleaned everything out and it came right back , i have repeated the process 3 times and it came back everytime thus far which leads me to bleieve it is something one or both of the turtles is sacreeting...if anyone has any idea what this substance is, please tell me!
i have 2 RES and occasinoally the turtles will face each other, put there arms infront of their head and shake violently towards the other turtles head...sometimes they do it to each other, sometimes its only one doing it to the toehr? what is it?
i was just wondering, no plans of dong anything yet...but im gonna be going to college and i cnat take care of the turtles...would releasing them into a lake be deadly to them? could they not survive after 6 years in captivity? how bout giving them back to the pet store? will they take them?
