Matas have HUGE appetites. I feed live and frozen fish (i only put in pellets into the live fish ever few weeks to replace thiamine lost in freezing)
Small ones will eat several guppies or two or three SMALL rosies red per day. I'd ditch the reptomin and aim for mazuri or even zoo med pellets (zoo med even makes them tiny this is good for easier stuffing into the fish's guts)
yearly de worming seems to be needed (as per the other post) regardless of what you feed.
keep the pH low and the water warm and he should eat like crazy.
