Tuesday night I brought home a Central American Wood Turtle (aka Ornate Wood Turtle). She's in a 40 gallon enclosure with a litter box 'pond' and the other half land. She's been exploring her new home, but spends most of her time in the water. I have yet to see her eat. I've been offering red leaf lettuce, kale, romaine, string beans, and fresh berries. Temps are running around 78-82 and I've got a UV light on during the day.
Is this normal for her not to be eating? The pet store said that she had been checked by the vet within the past 3 weeks and was healthy. Her water has been getting dirty, I've cleaned it out once and have a filter running continuously. Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
Alison
