In Reply to: why not a RETF for a beginner? posted by compasscreek on April 18, 2003 at 22:21:51:
:i am new to amphibs and want a tree frog, specifically the red eye tree frog. i amtld that i should start with other rog as th RETF is not a frog for beginners. my question is why not? what special requirements sets the RETF or the dendrobites apart from the gree tree frog or a whites tree frog?
:thanks,
:cc
Red-eyes need precise temperature, humidity, etc. If its off about 5-10*, they're gone. With greens and white's, theyt can handle the temperature change until you get the temperature and humidity thing down. Then get some red-eyes.
