Cage size for an amazon tree boa?

Hi,
I've asked this question before, but I've gotten back so many different responses. Basically, I am debating between an amazon or an emerald. I've read that an adult emerald can be kept within a cage that is 24X24X24. Does that same rule apply for amazons, considering they are a smaller species? Would a smaller cage be okay?
