:I had a pair for a number of years but they never reproduced (though I bred T. hermanni yearly in the same yard). The male would bash the female around each spring and they would mate but I never got fertile eggs. She was around 9 inches and never really grew that much. He was much smaller.
:They were kept outdoors year 'round in South Florida and would only be brought inside if we had extended periods of heavy rain.
:After a few years they went to a friend who did get eggs but they didn't hatch. Good tortoises but I have no idea what subspecies they were.
