Pond In Tegu Cage?

:I have an argentine B/W, about 12 inches long. in a 55 gal (4x1x2 About)I just put in pond about 12x6inches in the cool side of the cage. im getting a underwater turtle filter and im going to put about 6 goldfish in the pond at a time for food. does anyone see anything wrong with this or is it a good idea. it would provide water to drink, fish for food, and great humidity and it looks good. Thanks in advance -nick-
