are the crickets in a feeding dish? if they aren't then sometimes they climb on the animal and can stress them out. try feeding the little guy something different and make sure you have all of your temps set at a good level. i know most people don't do this but try feeding it a little peach baby food. mine loves it. i got it used to it because i have a crested gecko also and we never go through an entire jar before it goes bad so it goes to the tegu as a snack. just a thought. good luck
