:i would personally use peat moss mixed either with dirt or sand ( or both). right now i have potting soil mixed in with some sand and mulch and he still loves burying himself in it. i plan on moving to dirt/sand/ peat moss soon. obviously if you use potting soil make sure there are no furtilizers or anything like that in it.

I'd be willing to try a change from cypress to peat moss and sand. I'd like to hear what others thinks?
