He/She is getting you to you...they think you are a threat...give em a couple of weeks before you attempt to pick up so they can get used to their surroundings and used to you walking by and feeding them (feed them in the cage for now, but later feed them out when they are more comfortable)...these are really smart lizards and will quickly realize that you are not a threat...unlike dumb agamids like a uromastyx...
