If you have an argentine tegu, then you can achieve getting him docile when you pick him up...if you have columbian, then I cannot help you b/c I have never had one and have heard that they are really hard to tame...Like I said..You should attempt to let them acclimate to their surroundings for a while, then feed them away from you (as in not being present)...You do not want them to associate you with the food...Then when he is calmer should attempt handling daily, but you shouldn't have to do your crocidile move to pick him up, because you don't want to scare him and give him a reason to be afraid of you (to think of you as a threat).
