I have an Argentine red female a little smaller than yours. She's 2.5 yrs old, 32" and a little over 4 lbs. She originally came from the St. Pierres (bluetegu.com).
I think mine should be bigger, too, but she was ill last year. She recovered nicely and continues to expand in length and girdth. :-)
Anyone have growth charts for reds?
:I have heard that there a few types of Red tegus some of which grow to be larger, Is this true?. I have been told it does not matter what kind of red you have they will all grow to be the same size. I have had a Red for 2 1/2 years now, started at 13 inches and now is 38 inches and about 5 lbs. I feed the tegu often every other day ect. the tegu is also a female. I just thought she would have been bigger by now or would this be the appropriate size for a certain type or even bloodline of tegu?. Thanks Bryan
