Haha Really?!, I've never heard of anyone else using those, I thought we where the only ones that would spoil a lizard by getting it a marble basking patio. I was almost embarrassed to say so. But I think they're the best thing since sliced bread because they're lite, easy to rearrange, easy to clean and they heat up quick.
The moss does get dusty when it's dry, it gets on the carpet, and sticks to the water dish . It can really hold a lot of water so I rewet it about every 3 weeks. I also have the cage practically sealed up with the light on 24 hours a day. But then I have it open for at least a couple hours a day. I got the moss at a local garden place in a big compact brick, it looks kinda like dirt crossed with saw dust, I also mixed in some play sand to help it rewet.
