light band color (white vs yellow) is not a characteristic used to distinguish between knoblochi and other pyro subspecies (just look at the pyros on my page, which are all woodini or pyro-pyro).
distinguishing characters for knoblochi include high band count (50+) on body, band do not touch ventral surfaces, forming saddles, and presence of lateral blotches.
being a mexican subspecies, there is no "standardized" english common name for the subspecies, and a variety of them are equally acceptable (chihuahuan mt king or tarahumara mt king).
