Ray,

this is exactly what I tried, in vain, to point out to you. I tried to do it politely. You cannot take these criticisms personally because as soon as you do, and start attcking people they will attack back. Science is all about critical review of other peoples (and hopefully your own) work.

I have probably criticised to some degree every persons work I have read, but I never attack the person. I am well aware (or at least hope) that the writer has attempted to do things right, I know I have made mistakes in my work. Some have been corrected by others, some have been corrected by me. If someone comes up with some good evidence that I am wrong I accept it. Or I refute it. But thats the point I refute their evidence not them.

I mean what possible scientific benefit do we get from some of the dorrogatory dog fights that appear in these lists. Just how do these species benefit from that. Its science not politics.
