ncjmv00-- You should be able to sex them at around 4 inches in shell length. But...if you have several hatchlings that are the same age, another way to tell is that the females will usually grow a LOT faster than the males. The size difference is usually obvious in 6 months or so. But this only works when you have several of them. --Maxx
