Timmy had a bacterial infection from psuedomonus. It started last August showing as bumps like sandpaper on his shell. We brought him to the vet and he had been recieving antibiotic injections for months. He was doing wonderful, and the vet was impressed with the level of care we gave him and his improvement. Two days ago though, he lost 1/4 of his weight suddenly... the vet thought he simply had a blockage. We opted for surgery that they performed today... but during surgery the vet found his intestines were closed off from the infection and scar tissue. We had to put him down so he didn't suffer the last days of his life. I miss my little "baby" Timmy. My husband and I raised him from a hatchling the size of a quarter... Timmy was 6" and a beautiful softshell.
