pickard-- This sounds like a bacterial infection to me. I'd bring him into a vet, asap. I've had softshells that had bacterial infections which attacked the extremeties (like the nose) that eventually spread to other areas and killed them. Just remember, whatever is necrotic (dead) and what has already falled off will not come back. --Maxx
