Tony2-- There are a couple of Asian softshell species that look like this but I think the most likely suspect is a Chinese softshell. These guys are farmed by the thousands in China, and hundreds of them are imported into the U.S. and show up at the Chinese markets on the west coast and the east coast. I'd have to see it...but I bet you have a Chinese softshell which someone let go that's a l-o-n-g way from home! --Maxx
