My SS has just developed a whiteish blister or fungus around one side of his mouth.
Previous to this disease, I kept a pretty clean tank, but didn't bother with a heater or with checking my pH.
Now, on advice of several locals, here's what I have done. My pH is 7.0 or so, my water temp is 84-85, I added a little aquarium salt to the water, I put in a Tetra "Turtle Medicated Sulfa Block", and I temporarily took out the carbon insert from my filter (because someone thought the carbon might absorb the sulfa medication.
My SS has kept a good appetite throughout this.
Any comments or suggestions would be welcome!
