Softshell in a CA Pond--Suggestions

I have three baby softshells I'm getting today from a friend. I'm planning on putting them in my pond in my backyard. I'm in the SF Bay Area and am new to turtle raising.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? The pond has some fairly big Koi and smaller gold fish in it. Do you think if I feed the turtles they will leave the fish alone? Or, it is their instinct to eat fish. Is water temp a concern? Any suggestions on what to feed the babies?

Advise greatly appreciated--I don't want them to die!
