That breeder said he gets 30-40 pink skinned alligator snappers out of 3,000-4,000 total hatchlings each year. That makes it about only 1% of the total hatch. He has about 4 adults in his breeding stock that are of the yellow/ gold variety. He believes that these pink babies become the yellow/ gold adults.
