When I was younger I collected a bunch of juvenile common snappers. One of them had a high red color, like a blood red. The shell was darker than the body parts, but it was red all over. I eventually released the turtle, but 8 years later I still think of the turtle, and wish I had kept it. I have never seen one like it again, and I have been collecting and keeping snappers since before that time. Anyone ever seen or heard of this? This turtle was collected in fairfield county, CT, by the way.
