Am I feeding my adult alligator snapper enough?

I've been giving him 2 (tiny) baby chickens every other day. On top of that there are a dozen or so shiners (5 inch bait fish) and some goldfish available for him to catch. Also, I dump 3-5 lbs. of live crawfish in every 2 weeks. Is this enough for him? What kind of vegetation should I offer him?
