today while cleaning out my alligator snapping turtles aquarium i placed him in a plastic crate for about 30 minutes. when putting him back i noticed that he had broken the very tip of his lower jaw off. he must have some how bitten the crate and .......? it was bleeding a little, and kinda fleshy at the wound. my guy has a shell length of 10-12 inches so he isn't a hatchling that needs worrying about..but, is this something that will heal on its own? is there anything i can do to help it heal? and don't laugh, but will this grow back. thanks for your help.
