If you say they seem okay together, I say let it stay that way. It's space saving and not much of a hassle. If they grow used to each other then maybe they wouldn't kill each other. Besides, if they do kill each other, like most who replied to your post is saying, you could always get a new one. Common snappers are cheap anyway.
