:This skink was caught in Papua New Guinea. I have to admit that I'm not too well-read in the "esoteric skinks" department. The comb in the photo is about 6" which is a tad shorter than the body length of the skink. The tail was much longer than that making this very smooth, shiny skink with a purple and pink cast about a foot and a half long! Very impressive beast - Anyone know what it is?

spelling will be wrorg but it looks like galliwasp. or wood skink? would like to know. chris
