I was recently told something about this, so I looked it up. Most of the violations to the lacey act have to do with importing and exporting... However, there is a provision that seems to indicate that ANY animal shipped for interstate commerse that is not clearly labeled in a commonly accepted manner is in violation of the act, and is punishable by not more than $10,000 in fines/some jail time for animals worth LESS than $350...it goes up from there.
Anyone have any info on this? If I'm reading it right, I hope everyone is labeling all their shipments.
