Yeah your manuals and pet books mostly deal with husbandry only lightly touching anatomy. I have been keeping and breeding reptiles for about 17 years plus I graduated college with a Bio degree. So I am getting all my info from my own experiences and the tons of books I have read and own..lol. If you want to learn more about reptile and anatomy and physiology there are a few Herpetology textbooks out there. You can even find some good in depth info in Zoology textbooks. I have a few at home and can e-mail you the names and authors if you are interested.
