I have a bunch of books on different herps most of the being the 'manuals' like the ball python manual or the leopard gecko manual. But these books mostly just tell about husbandry and breeding not any of the scientific (if thats what you would call my question) aspects of the animals, so where can I find info like this??

Also just in case you know, where do all the people that are in the cutting edge if you will, like the ones working on new projects talk and anounce this stuff?? Whenever one of these people post or write an articfle they mention what someone else is currently working on, somewhere in there, and I just wonder where do they get all this info, unless its just from talking to each other??
