Injured tail

Hi, I just purchased two new juvenile cresties today from a local pet store and upon getting them home I noticed one had an injured tail. The very tip of its tail is black and looks like its a little mangled. Do you think it'll be ok? I could send out a picture via email to anyone who could tell me more about what caused it and what I should do. Thanks.
